Surround yourself with positive people,
energy, and situations;
always avoid negativity.

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So, love the people who treat you right.

Forgive, and then forget about the ones who don't.

Game Faces

We have on our serious Game Faces today!

'Bama (4-0)
takes on the

Florida Gators (4-0)
at The Swamp Saturday night!

We've heard you can make a gator sleepy if you rub its belly...

Works for me!

...right over those Gators!!!

We're sending Get Well wishes to Smokey,
The University of Tennessee 8-year-old bluetick hound mascot.
Smokey suffered a torn ACL during the game against Cincinnati two weeks ago!
Hope you'll be back on the sidelines soon, Smokey!

Happy Fall Weekend, Everyone!

Fast Forward 15 Years

Fifteen years ago, as the world descended on Atlanta for the 1996 Summer Olympics, Hubby and I decided it was a good time to get the Heck out of Dodge!

We spent 3 weeks wandering aimlessly camping in Alaska, Yukon and Northwest Territories, with no real destination, except Eagle, AK.

We had traveled the Taylor Highway to Eagle a couple years earlier and developed a friendship with Wayne (Yukon Quest Veteran) and Scarlett Hall, owners of Bush Alaska Expeditions.

Matt Hall, their son, was just a little fellow back then, growing up on the Yukon River with 20+ sled dogs as his playmates.

Matt's love and respect for these special dogs was evident at an early age.

Today, Matt is carrying on the family tradition with his own team of sled dogs at Smokin' Ace Kennels.

Happy Trails, Matt!!!

Our New Furiend, Onyx

In July my dear friend, Susu, had to make the most difficult decision any pet owner ever has to make.
She helped her dearly loved Cami peacefully cross The Bridge.

We are pleased to introduce you to Susu's new pup, Onyx.

Onyx was a homeless little girl,

who fell into the lap of luxury.

Smile for the camera, girl!
Welcome to your furever home, Onyx!

Hummers' Last Hurray!

I was telling Madi'sMom about all the hummers we had last week.
Guess we had the cheapest prices at the pumps.

Apple Thieves

While we were vacationing at the lake a few weeks ago, "something" had its way with the apple tree.

The tree was stripped of all the apples, and many limbs were broken in the process.

We were fairly certain of the culprits, and sure enough, they returned to the scene of the crime today.

Sorry about the poor quality;
they weren't interested in a photo shoot.

Momma was beautiful and appeared very healthy.
If she saw me, she never reacted.

Baby Bear
(Use your imagination)

Not to worry, we are on high alert before venturing outside with the dogs, and we are
very loud!

Retrieved

In September 2011, Moxie and nearly 100 search and rescue dogs were deployed to the World Trade Center and Pentagon.

Ten years later, only fifteen of these heroic canines survive.

Dutch photographer, Charlotte Dumas, succeeded in tracking down each of them, visiting and photographing the dogs at their homes, where they live with their handlers.

This beautiful tribute will soon be available from Amazon.

Roll Tide Roll!

Alabama football coach Nick Saban asked the freshman walk-on hopeful if he could tackle.

The kid said,
“Yes sir coach, I can tackle.”

The coach then asked, “Well, can you run?”

The kid said,
“Yes sir coach, I can run very fast.”

Saban then said, “Can you pass a football?”

The kid thought for a second and said,
“Well coach, if I can swallow it I can probably pass it.”

After last week's win over Kent State,
Alabama travels to Happy Valley to take on JoePa's Nittany Lions.

Do Your Ears Hang Low?

The Guinness Book Of World Records has officially recognized Harbor with the title of "Longest Ears on a Living Dog."

Was it necessary to specify "living" dog?

I mean, doesn't that kind of go without saying?

Hey Guinness,

  measure this!

Can you guess my favorite college football team?

I'll give you some hints:

3. My favorite colors are red and black.

Did you guess the Georgia Bulldogs?
