Four Fuzzy Flycatchers

The Flycatcher babies have hatched and I've counted four gaping beaks, unless the one on the far right is a conehead. The proud parents are staying busy, flitting around the yard gathering bugs for the babies.
Now I'm on snake patrol-Yikes!

Happy Trails,

  1. Even though I'm scared of birds, I love to watch their babies and it excites me whenever a nest is close enough for me to see it daily. And of course to keep the snakes away.

    Have a great day.

  3. Hi Kit,
The flycatcher babies are soooooo cute. Oh my what a treasured picture. Snakes oh my gosh could they get up to the nest where it is?
I know nature is nature but that is just wrong for a snake to eat defenseless baby birds.
You and the crew have a good day.

  5. When I think of little birds I think of constant hunger.

    Are they related to labs?

Enjoy watching the little ones grow. We are posting signs for our local flies to report for duty at your place!

  6. Furry khool!

A robin made a nest on my Sibestas' front porch - there were four beaks there too!

  11. Not sure if my earlier comment was posted, but those baby birds are sweet. I clicked on the Flycatcher link and listened to their birdsong. Jeter was looking all around the room... where are those birds?? Be careful of those snakes!! I would rather beware of moose and bears... snakes scare me to death!!!
