Just Chillin'

We received this "cool" picture from our good doggie friend, Blaine, who lives in PA with his pawrents, Jan and Walt. Jan and Walt are my wonderful Idita-Buddies.

Jan wrote, "Blaine and I walked at the local college. It was Freshman move in day complete with a picnic. Blaine found the ice they dumped and chomped away like Buddy before plopping his whole body down in the ice mound. Dreams of winter and Iditarod."

  3. Hi Kit
What a nice surprise to see Jan and Blaine on your post today!!! I bet Blaine and Buddy would have a fine time together.
I might try to find some ice to roll in today. High 96 with heat index of 101 in Dixie.

  7. Leave it to a husky to find a cold place in the middle of summer! LOL

I am glad you had hats on! That looked very cold there!

"Iditarod Dreaming" done to the tune of "California Dreaming" by the Mamas and the Papas circa 1960's!
I am there with you in spirit!!!

  8. Blaine is so beautiful.

Hat head.........well.......at least you were wearing (winter) hats not caps (baseball)......or it wouldn't be called hat head.

  12. Jack said he would like to pull a sled - for about 10 feet. Then he decided it was too hard and he needed a nap!

  13. Gotta love those sled-head dogs. He looks mighty comfortable on his pile of ice. :)

Marge is a rescue from Georgia. I live in New York City, so trying to find out the details about her journey up here was rough. I'll give you the short version.. she was sent to Cherokee County Animal Shelter at 3ish days old, then taken by Noah's bArk (now closed) Rescue in Ellijay, then sent to Homeward Bound Pet Rescue in Gilmer County, then sent up here.

I joke sometimes that she and I are going to go on a road trip to re-trace her roots!

  15. Thanks Kit and Pooches for including us on your world famous blog.
Winter pics and Iditarod race videos are exactly what get us through hot and humid PA summers.

Ina --- The sweater is a Dale of Norway. I love it too. When I wear it with a turtleneck and long undies top I don't need too much more to keep me warm.

Only 6 months and couple of days. Stay cool everyone.
    Love ya Kit.
