Oh Ms. K that is too funny. Madi and I are MOL and LOL. Madi and I believe if one cannot laugh at one's self then one is taking one's self way to seriously. Thanks for the laugh.
We agree with the quote too. Big Hug from Madi and HiC
I LOVE the quote about hell very much! I believe hell is the perfect punishment for people who have no conscience about their cruelty to animals! Bravo for this post!
I agree with you Buddy! Isn't Gary Larson married to Jane Pauley? Anyone remember Jane Pauley?.....
Oh gosh that cartoon reminded me of what actually happened to a cat belonging to one of my neighbors... the cat had been napping in the dryer unbeknownst to the mom...... the story does not end well.... they were devastated and it was a mistake....
We have Farside BOOKS! Love Farside and miss seeing them. You just reminded me to go in search for them to give me another laugh. Thanks for making me smile today.
We so agree with that quote - how anyone can do what they do to some animals is so incomprehensible. Makes us more and more thankful for the home we have.
Oh my, Gary Larson still cracks us up and we have seen every cartoon, we do believe. favorites? Hmmmm. The boneless chicken farm? The School for the Gifted (kid pushing on the door labeled pull)? What dogs hear (Blah Blah Blah Ginger Blah Blah)? The real reason dinosaurs became extinct (cigarettes)? The Jane Goodall chimp? They are all so classic.
So happy to see you back!!! You know when you like someone it doesn't matter what they say it just matters that you hear it form your friend!!!!! With that I will probably blog today. I cooked all day yesterday!! A big pot of soup!!! Ground neat for Bambi. Rice and vegs for Bambi and a vegetarian dish for Tom and I. The big pot of soup is vegetarian too. We are not eating very much meat now a days!! XXOO, Fern
I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE the Farside!!! It's hard to pick a favorite but one of them is where a dog is leaning out the car window saying to another something like "ha-ha Biff after we go to the drug-store and post-office I'm going to the vets to get tutored!"
It's a good quote--I'd heard once that Gary Larson considered a career working with the ASPCA after he'd accidentally hit a dog with his car...
When your post wasn't up at 6 AM , I was so disappointed! I could have used a laugh from Gary Larsen then. Of course, it was still a good laugh when I got in from work! And Buddy has certainly called it right!
Buddy is so right!! It's a very special part of hell too. Mom has a book of Gary Larson's cartoons and many that she cut out of the newspaper years ago. Lots of love, Debbie and Holly
Yes, you don't have close neighbors either do you!! We use the internet for company!! I can't think of something fun to blog about but I'll blog anyway for the company. When are you going on your trip?? Email me the answer please OK? Love being your girlfriend, Fern
You are so right, Buddy!
ReplyDeleteNobody should be cruel to kids or pets, EVER!!!
We miss GL and wish he was still doing cartoons. He was a regular at the downtown Seattle BB court. Haven't heard what he is doing lately.
