Flannery
1976-1989
It took Flannery several years to mature, and he often challenged my patience, but he was one of the friendliest, funniest, most intelligent and affectionate dogs I have ever owned.
If you've ever owned or known an Irish Setter, you can relate to Gary Larson's cartoon.
Kinda sorta like a Golden Retriever!
ReplyDeleteThanks fur sharing Flannery!

That is a beautiful tribute collage of Flannery.
ReplyDeleteThe cartoon is quite funny!
Beautiful dog! I love Irish setters. ;o)
ReplyDeleteI love The Farside! I have found that there's always a dog that tries your patience and you know that if they were human they would be able to speak 7 languages--Flannery sounds like one of those pups, and fortunate it was you who was his forever family! Our dog Rudi is also a very bright dog, that suffered from "Dumb Owner Syndrome" for the first year of her life by being part of 3 families that didn't understand her--I have to admit that at first I didn't either. But I find her to be the most intellegent (and the flakiest) dog we've ever had.
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful dog! love the cartoon...think it might be appropriate for goldens too!!
