Needless to say, I was not a happy, little girl.

Luckily for Dean, his daughter and her girls will be in Williamsburg area during the time he's there - they were just transferred from North Dakota -

That must have been hard on you, on your whole family. I'm grateful to your family for the sacrifice. Indeed, when someone goes off to war it is the entire family that sacrifices so very much.

ReplyDeleteI remember Sundays with family though. My grandmother would fix everything for dinner and all my aunts, uncles, cousins and myself and my mother would eat and spent the day talking and the kids playing. I really miss those days. Lots of love, Holly and mom

My Father was in the army so I remember those days prior to his leaving and know just how you felt...

Military life can be hard on families. You were fortunate to have so many family members around, but I know it was hard in spite of that. I always love the news stations that report on happy reunions and especially the surprises at school when Dad or Mom show up after being gone.
