Sassy Says

In a perfect world, every dog would have a home
and every home would have a dog.

This is a heart-warming story from USA Today, about Hospice Fosters for dogs and cats. I'm not sure I could do it, but I'm so thankful for those who can!

  2. I want to find that Perfect World and live there. How cool to always have doggies as next door neighbors!

Thank you for sharing the article. Some humans are just Angels in disguise. I should get my human to do that because I would love the extra company, helping an elderly wise animal during their final days.

  3. I love that picture of Sassy. Please tell her that she is very beautiful. And give her a kiss right on her beautiful nose. But not right when she gets home from the dog park. That might be a little problematic :)

  4. I had no idea there were people who did this sort of thing. They must be very special.

  5. Hi Sassy you are a wise woman and we agree with you.
What a heartwarming story about the hospice for animals. I'm not sure I could do it either...God bless that couple.

  6. I think every dawg should have a home and every home have at least 2 dawgs. My people tell me not to worry that in a few months they will rescue and adult pup needing a home to keep me company in my now predominantly cat house. Thank you so much for stopping by this week and supporting us during this sad time for my family. It helped more than we can say. Have a great weekend.

  14. Hi There, Thanks for visiting my blog. I am enjoying yours. Looks like your dogs are definitely your BABIES....

I hope to go to Alaska and to the Pacific Northwest sometime. Hubby (George) and I are hikers and collect waterfalls. We'd LOVE to see some of the beautiful waterfalls out west.

Speaking of waterfalls, we have seen alot in North GA also. Gorgeous area!!!! Where are you? We've been in Blue Ridge, Dahlonega, Blairsville, Helen, Elijay, Dillard, Clayton, etc.. One of our favorite places is Tallulah Gorge.

I do have a question.. How did your hubby trap the squirrels??? We have so many --and they are destroying our flowerbeds --and eating the bird seed. Drives us CRAZY... Thanks for your help.

Thanks again for coming to my blog. Come back anytime.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  24. Love that quote - one of my favourites ♥ And thank you for the link - such a wonderful organization. Only today, walking through the woods with Ernie did my husband and I say, watching his tail wagging happily what a wonderful feeling it is to know that he will spend the rest of his life loved, wanted and happy :-)

  25. Yeah, a perfect world that would be. As for the article, I think it's very important. My Momma has been practicing it herself starting with me. She's a bit terrified at times and makes frequent visits to the vet's, but even the vet's office seems to be on board. We'll see. Thank you for sharing the article. I'm going to tweet it now.

  26. K, sniff sniff. Would ya mind passing us a tissue...

Thank you for sharing such a heartwarming story. Fostering is definitely tough when you get attached, but fostering a terminally ill or elderly pet has got to be a true test of a person's character. I admire them.

The Max Fund is so special!!!!!!!!!
I also would love to live in that perfect world!! If only people would not let their animals breed just because they can!!

  29. What a wonderful thing. It must be very hard on the humans. Momma has often thought of bringing a senior citizen doggie home to live with us, but she says that I am almost one myself now and might be too grouchy.
