This is a heart-warming story from USA Today, about Hospice Fosters for dogs and cats. I'm not sure I could do it, but I'm so thankful for those who can!

I think every dawg should have a home and every home have at least 2 dawgs. My people tell me not to worry that in a few months they will rescue and adult pup needing a home to keep me company in my now predominantly cat house. Thank you so much for stopping by this week and supporting us during this sad time for my family. It helped more than we can say. Have a great weekend.

The hospice thing sounds wonderful - what incredibly giving people.
I saw a wonderful movie in Dec. about how people took home dogs for the holidays. It was wonderful! If I had a large yard, I would love to do what MaxFund does! Nothing like make a dogs last days beautiful! Thanks Kit!

ReplyDeleteI hope to go to Alaska and to the Pacific Northwest sometime. Hubby (George) and I are hikers and collect waterfalls. We'd LOVE to see some of the beautiful waterfalls out west.
Speaking of waterfalls, we have seen alot in North GA also. Gorgeous area!!!! Where are you? We've been in Blue Ridge, Dahlonega, Blairsville, Helen, Elijay, Dillard, Clayton, etc.. One of our favorite places is Tallulah Gorge.
I do have a question.. How did your hubby trap the squirrels??? We have so many --and they are destroying our flowerbeds --and eating the bird seed. Drives us CRAZY... Thanks for your help.

She's a bit terrified at times and makes frequent visits to the vet's, but even the vet's office seems to be on board. We'll see. Thank you for sharing the article. I'm going to tweet it now.

What a wonderful thing. It must be very hard on the humans. Momma has often thought of bringing a senior citizen doggie home to live with us, but she says that I am almost one myself now and might be too grouchy.
