Oh, that photo made me miss our yellow lab, S, so very much. He crossed the bridge just about a year ago.
You asked about my dogs' names. I loved the ones that you'd come up with!!!! Especially "Rebel" - I might use that as a nickname.
Actually, I've never put my dogs' actual names on my blog because I was once stalked by someone who I'm still scared might look for me, and my dogs' names are distinctive. They are Kyna (pronounced Keena) and Rono (Ro rhymes with no). But Rono might become Rebel Rono!
Oh my goodness! We have a lot in common and I can't believe it took me this long to find you! I am also a former teacher (16 years in the profession) and I could have gone for 17+ years but the "beat of a different drummer in me" led me to start a career as a professional pet sitter and I've been happy and fulfilled ever since. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed teaching and I felt I made a difference in the lives of my students but at the end of the day I sought comfort in my cats and later, in my coonhound, and I thought it would be nice to have furry companions with me at all times in the form of professional pet sitting. I admire your courage to choose a different path after so many years of teaching and I look forward to reading your blog. If you have a chance, please visit my blog!
