More Surgery for Buddy

We returned to vet today, 2 weeks after Buddy's TPLO surgery, hoping for stitches to be removed and rehab to begin. However, it was discovered that Buddy's pes anserinus ( group of muscles) is torn, and he needs more surgery.

Needless to say, we are extremely disappointed, but the vet reassured us that this is not a major setback...tell that to Buddy. :(
Surgery is scheduled for Thursday morning...will keep you posted and Buddy would appreciate positive thoughts! :)

    Aww, poor Buddy can't catch a break!! How disappointing. Better that you found out now while he's still on restriction than finding out the hard way when he starts to be more active and really hurts himself.

    We hope his surgery goes well on Thursday and that he will have a smooth and uneventful (in a good way) recovery after that!! Best wishes to Buddy and the rest of the gang! Give him lots of rubs from me and some licks (well, let one of the other dogs give him the licks!) from Riley, please! :)

    I remember when I had a set back like that with one of my dogs. It was heartbreaking for both of us. Here I thought we'd reached a milestone, only to find out we had to go back to the start. But I know you're like me in that you never look back and just keep moving forward knowing that you're doing your absolute best!!

    We're just getting back to blogger and came over here, read back several posts and feel so badly for you, Buddy.
