Today is my 1 year blogiversary!

I had no idea what I was getting into when I started blogging. One year and 510 posts later, I guess you could say blogging has become an important part of my life. Some (Hubby, for one) might say blogging has become an obsession.
Blogging has given me, a retired teacher, a daily "lesson" to prepare; an excuse to use my brain at least once a day.
Blogging has encouraged me to capture life's moment through pictures. I carry my camera everywhere I go, much to every one's "chagrin".
I look at life differently.
I see more beauty in the ordinary, more special in the mundane.

Blogging has introduced me to a whole new world of cyber-friends, people like myself who love their pets, consider them a part of the family, and want to document and share their experiences.

Most importantly, blogging about my life with my dogs has given me an excuse (like I needed one) to spend quality time with them everyday. I feel closer to each of them as I share their lives on the blog.

Thank you, my blogging family, for making this past year a wonderful experience.

*While I was typing this, a mama (?) and baby bear crawled onto the deck. That's 3 bears on the deck in the past month. Poor, hungry bears.
