In November 1945 he came home from NY after the surrender in Tokyo Bay on September 9 (?). Got in on a Tuesday; they married on Saturday. He had been at sea over a year. He had to return to NY. Mamma went up for Christmas on the Mighty Mo. He mustered out in March of 1946. The rest, as they say, is history!; November 22, 2009 at 8:30 AM
