Oh, Pooh!

Iditarod Restart, March 7, 2010
Willow Lake, AK

See the lady on her hands and knees? That's me!
See the pile highlighted in yellow? That's dog pooh!
I had just jumped over pooh, while holding the dog line, slipped on the ice, and successfully completed the "roll away from the sled" maneuver.

Let's just say, my feelings weren't the only thing hurt.

Happy Trails,

  3. The musher you are kneeling next to, rookie Hank Debruin, did not do much better. He scratched in Galena.... your ouchie looks painful! Hope it is all healed up now.

That little moose was still hanging around until just before I typed this comment (almost 10:30 pm) What a little cutie! Ron and I were commenting he seems way too young to be away from mama moose... xoxo

  9. Oh Ms K that is a horrible bruise it might take some time for that to disappear. Thank goodness you did a perfect roll away from the sled maneuver.!!!! I see there is a lot of red worn up that way. It is my favorite color and definitely shows up well in the white surroundings.

Was that the only one you got?? I told you that you were the right age to go and do this thing . You only have a few years left at best.
It is hard on the body!!
Yes my power came back on at 4:30 pm and then it was time to start thinking about what I wanted for dinner. Got dinner and cleaned up from dinner, feed the critters and I am back on ready for fun!!
But I walked with Bambi for almost 3 hours today because I couldn't do much else and now I am a little tired. It has been awhile since we have walked that long. I think Bambi is tired too!!!lol
