I'm in tears this end of the globe! In some strange way, this great man and his dogs is our inspiration for many things...our own personal fight with Maxdog and the vision of tenacity, strength and quiet wisdom which is needed in everyone's great fight against Cancer and all diseases.
I have tried to send a message his way, but don't seem to find the right channel. If there is any way you can convey our heartiest congratulations on our behalf, it would be much appreciated!
It has been a phenomenal journey - although we are sitting half way across the world in temperatures which Alaska has probably never seen.
Number 49 is something to strive for! Today we are on number 39! Thank you for sharing this incredible event. We admire all the mushers and their wonderful athletes so much!
With love and licks MAXDOG IN SOUTH AFRICA ps...Our postal service is notorious for inefficiency! It could take 2 weeks...it could take 6 months!...sigh!
Oh my word......Ms. K thank you for that wonderful video!! I felt like I was right there beside you. How in the world did you keep from oooooing and ahhhhhhing at the take off. Congrats to Lance!! Madi and Mom
Hooray! I am thrilled he won and honored his team. No words required! I had noticed periodically that the guy you handled for was running last. Did he finish? SH
I thought your post was Wordless Wednesday? Did you not hear me yell, "Woo Hoo!" when the plane got lift? That's always my favorite part of a flight, and the most dangerous I hear. It's the landings I hate. Soooo glad you didn't video your landing! Loved the video, Kit!
My favorite part about flying with the Bush pilots is when the pilot weighs you prior to boarding! My sister and I both went on a diet when we were weighed by our pilot before heading to base camp at Denali..... he was a majorly handsome man!!!
Next year in Nome, girlfriend!!! Your Alaskan poodles send kisses to you and your pack xoxoxo
Hi Kit, Thanks for being my teacher Kit. You taught me the my tree is a Japanese Maple tree not a magnolia!!! I love to learn!! I have been calling it wrong for 23years. So glad Lance won, glad for the dogs as well. So happy you got to be part of it !! Kiss the kids, Bambi & Fern
So excited that Lance won! Love your Talkeetna Air movie (that town was one of my faves in AK!) - how still the winter landscape seems - thanks for the share - loved it and love that Lance and his pups won too over such adversity. Hugs xo Sammie
