I had a comment yesterday regarding Buddy's missing canine teeth.
Buddy only has one canine tooth (upper right), and is missing several other teeth. Our vet said that sometimes dogs lose teeth due to stress from shelter life.
Has anyone else heard this theory?
Nonetheless, his happy face makes me smile everyday.

Ms. K all I noticed about Buddy's teeth were how white the are!!! I guess his lovely black fur makes them especially pretty.

I don't know anything abouts stress. But my Kitteh Brudder Cap'n Ripley has lost lots of teeth due to this thing called genetics. Several of his litter mates even lost their teethies when they were like 1-2 years old.

Hmm, never heard of tooth loss due to stress, but oftentimes the dogs we get out of shelters have major tooth issues. One almost had no teeth. She was probably left tied up with nothing to do and she was chewing on rocks. Ugh.
