Tillicum Beach, Oregon

Tillicum Beach is nestled on a narrow stretch between Highway 101 and the Pacific Ocean, approximately 4 miles from Waldport. The ocean side campsites overlook the beautiful, usually deserted beach. Beach access is easy and no vehicles are allowed on the beach…

Can you say, “Dog Paradise”?

We love this beach. As a matter of fact, we love it so much, we almost bought a house out here 2 years ago. I know it rains in Oregon A LOT (e.g., Oregon Ducks) but there’s nothing like a beautiful, sunny day, when the air comes fresh off of the Pacific. All things considered, it was best for us to stay in North Georgia, a decision we never regretted.

Today is not one of those beautiful, sunny days, so we’re spending the day in Waldport washing clothes, but the laundromat has wi-fi, so that passes the time quickly. I plan to check out some of my favorite blogs, something I have sorely missed.
We plan to start home next week, depending on the weather (chuckle).
Will keep you posted!

Happy Trails,

I don't know if I could ever leave that place - sun or no sun. GORGEOUS and yes, a dog paradise if there ever was one.

Hi there, Love the photos of the beach; having been a native Ca. girl I miss the ocean but not the fog.
So glad you are all having a good trip. That fog can chill you to the bone so stay warm.

You guys are totally after our hearts--there's nothing we love more than a long, adventurous road trip. Not to mention that we've always wanted to visit the Oregon coast. Your pics sure make us jealous!

Sorry we haven't visited in so long, but looks like we're just in time for the beautiful pics! Thanks for sharing.

Hei!
Beautiful pix - looks just like the beaches in Denmark - very similar - and the beaches along the German coasts, too!
