BULLIES come in all ages

BULLIES come in all ages

Surround yourself with positive people,
energy, and situations;
always avoid negativity.

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So, love the people who treat you right.

Forgive, and then forget about the ones who don't.

YeeHaw!!!
Thanks for all the positive vibes!
They worked!

Dr. Noone was thrilled with my progress, and with the (drum roll, please) six pound weight loss.
(Try losing weight when you're on restricted activity.)

The x-rays show the bone is healing, and the plate and screws are all intact.
(Did y'all hear a huge sigh of relief around 11:00 AM EDT yesterday?)

We can now begin  rehab, which involves three, 10 minute walks each day, progressing to 20 minutes by the time I return to vet in 6 weeks.

Dr. Noone says I should be ready for the lake by mid-August.

I'm so happy to be emancipated from the dogroom and back with my family.

Hey, it's me,
Buddy.

I've been laying low and taking it easy since my last vet appointment, two weeks ago.
But, today is a big day for me, as
I'm having my TPLO, six-week, post-op
x-rays.

If the pictures reveal healing, then we can start rehabilitation.

If you happen to think about it, around 10:30 AM EDT, please send some positive energy my way.
Thanks!

Rama says I've been a good sport about the confinement and restricted activity.
(Like I had a choice...)

I just keep dreaming of

 days at the lake.

Virus Alert

Beware of Vista Home Security 2012!

It's a scam and it will make your computer real sick, if infected.

The worst  virus symptom I observed...

was Rama spewing profanities!

It gets ugly around here when she can't use her computer.

RIP, Hamlet

Our sweet, Golden furiend, Hamlet crossed The Bridge this morning.

Hamlet's story is amazing and will reassure you that there are, indeed, angels here on Earth.
Please stop by and leave Hamlet's family a comforting word during this difficult time.
Thank you,
~K

Feeling Much Better

I am a happy boy today!

The stitches are out, the cone is history, and Dr. Noone says I am on the road to recovery!

Rama even let me sleep with one of her beloved bunny slippers last night.
Life is good.

Conehead

We're headed back to the vet today.

Hopefully, Dr. Noone will remove my stitches, start my rehab, and say we can throw away that cone.

Rama's getting pretty tired of wearing that darned thing!

Monday, June 13, 2011

Hey Rama, let's go check the mail!

I call "Shotgun!"

Fine by me, Sas!
I prefer the fresh air.

The mailbox is about half a mile from our house, next to our neighbors' zoo.

They rescue all kinds of critters.
They've been on Dirty Jobs, Rachael Ray, Animal Planet, and other cool shows.
You can read all about them here:
NorthGaZoo

Hey there, Dalai Llama!

Namaste', Sas!

We were feeling kind of guilty about riding to the mailbox, while Bubba is confined to the dog room;
but guess what...

more mail for Buddy!!!!

Thank you to, Aunt Ferne

and my LabraPal, Dexter!
Oh Dude,
I hope I can jump like that some day!

I'll keep Dexter's card in a safe place for you, Bubba!

Oh my Dex,
I do declare, you give me the vapors.

RIP Sweet Billy Boy

We are sad to report that our very special, little furiend, Billy, has crossed The Bridge.

Billy's family is very sad and could use some kind words right now.
No one does does that better than the wonderful folks in Bloggerville.
Thank you,
~K

Mail Call

It's for Buddy!

Let me have a sniff there...
(sniff, sniff)
It's from Madi and Mom.

A sweet Get-Well note just for me.

Thank you, Madi and Mom.
I enjoyed eating reading my note and it made Rama smile.

I'm feeling pretty well, considering I've had my knee cut wide open twice in the past 3 weeks.
I spend my days in the dog room, listening to the radio, enriching my vocabulary with Reader's Digest Word Power, and enjoying the A/C.
Don't feel sorry for me because I'm receiving lots of TLC.

RIP, Sweet Bambi

One of our dear furiends, Bambi, crossed The Bridge yesterday.

Please drop by Ms. Fern's blog and leave a kind word, as her heart is broken.

Thank you,
~K

Thank You, Thank You,
Thank You
for all the healing thoughts.

I know I look pretty banged up, but I'm feeling much better, thanks to Dr. Noone and the great staff at VRSP.
They sewed my muscle back together, extra strong this time, so a big boy like me can't pull it out just by standing up or going potty.

Looks like it's going to be two more weeks of everyone waiting on me hand and foot (make that paw and paw), so I might as well make the most of it.

Oh yeah, that's the spot!

We're doing our best to help Bubba feel better, mainly by leaving him alone.
He is trying to sound brave for y'all, but believe us when we say,
there have been some pretty pitiful sounds coming from the dog room.

This just breaks Rama's heart....
