Sunday is for Family

Rita and Daddy
Christmas, 1976
Savannah, GA

Rita was my best friend in high school and my first college roommate. Rita passed away November 30, 2008. Like most of my friends, she loved my father as if he were her own. I miss Rita and Daddy very much.

I realize many of you are missing loved ones during the holidays. I hope your happy memories bring you comfort.

Happy Trails,

Look at those smiles! I hope it makes YOU smile to think that they are still smiling together in Heaven. I love how photos bring back memories of sweeter days.

Happy Sunday
Hugs!

I feel so sorry for people (and their families) who have lost those happy memories. And I feel so fortunate to have mine.

Sweet picture, happy memory. Hard to lose loved ones and as you get older, there are more loved ones missing. Whenever I hear Peter Frampton's Baby I Love Your Way, I think of my late Aunt Bette, a very special lady who passed in 2006. A few years before her death we had been Christmas shopping and stopped in a little pub in Lambertville NJ for a bite to eat. My sister and her son, our cousin, were with us. That song came on and we all sang it out loud together, laughing and fun. A happy memory, every time I hear that song now I think of her.

They were obviously very happy when that picture was taken! That's the way I like to remember my friends.

That wallpaper, however, is another story. AND the matching drapes! :)

What a beautiful picture. I know it brings you wonderful memories and yet, sad ones too. The pictures of all I have lost are what keeps me going along with the good memories. The holidays can be very hard when you have lost almost everyone you loved.
