Life is too short to wake up with regrets.

Sassy Says

The best things in life are free.
~American Proverb

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kit here: Forty years ago, I was beginning my senior year of high school in Savannah, Ga.
As I reflect on this time, I am flooded with recollections and emotions.
Music evokes strong memories, like a soundtrack to our lives.
Each Friday I will share one of my favorite songs from that period.
David Gates and Bread held Billboard's #1 spot the week of August 22, 1970.
I remember that song.
I think I even had the record.
Where does the time go?
When I was in H.S., it went slow.
I thought getting to 21 was forever. Now it flies by.
Beth here -- Seeing as we are the same age I also remember those songs. They bring back good memories. Doesn't seem like it has been 40 years....time goes by so quickly....I just wish I could remember that everyday....we need to cherish every second....thanks for the memory. Have a fun weekend.
Oh you said it, Kit! Music at certain periods of life's journey really do become woven into our lives!
At that same time, I had graduated from high school in June! After a trip to NY for vacation, came back and started college in the fall. Where did the time go?!
I remember it well. (And all of the words). Those "memory" songs are the best.
Oh, yes, love that song! I was entering my freshman year at college and that song, along with another of my favorites...Elton John's "Your Song", was on the raido constantly. Today's oldies stations don't play our oldies anymore. A new generation of people is entering the group and oldies are now 70's music.
