Monday's Mosaic Memory ~Show and Tell

Friday was Show and Tell day in my classroom. The excitement started early as each student entered the classroom, trying to conceal their "surprise" in book bags, old Wal-Mart bags, and under their shirts.

With a little planning and modeling by the teacher, Show and Tell offers a positive learning environment in a casual, relaxed setting.

I honestly looked forward to it as much as the kids.

We never did show and tell in school when I was growing up. But we did have to walk 20 miles uphill in the snow both ways to get there! :)

It must have been boring for my youngest boys class, cause every week he took his "Teddy" lol. I think he just wanted it with him all the time!

Cute, cute pics! A bunch of good stuff comes up in show and tell! Rusty told once that Terry was lost and had been gone all night. The teacher called Mamma to check on everyone. Well, you know what happened next! Rusty said he just wanted to have something to tell!

It's so lovely to see those little cute faces there. I'm sure it's an interesting show time for them and how I wish I could be there as an audience : )

Hi Kit,
I'll bet you were a wonderful teacher Kit. We didn't have show and tell when I went to school either!! And I did have shoes and we didn't have any snow in Daytona! But I did walk a long way to school in some grades and others I didn't have far to walk at all!
You are a wonderful Doggy Mom too Kit!!!
Your girlfriend, Fern

I didn't have show and tell when I was a kid. I vaguely remember my older kids having show and tell, no idea what they took.

The show and tell possibilities were endless...I always had one or two who wanted to hide theirs behind my desk. I finally had to initiate the rule that if it didn't fit inside one's backpack, it couldn't be brought to school.
