Spring, Yet?

The snow doesn't give a soft white damn whom it touches.

~Edward Estlin Cummings
(e.e. cummings)

The above photos show our screened porch last week, during the snowstorm that left most of North Georgia crippled.

We were literally stuck at home for several days due to the icy driveway and road. We are about a half mile off the main road and this is how it looked all the way! It's just impossible to drive on ice.

I made a big pot of soup.

Hubby kept us supplied with plenty of firewood.

We just "chilled out" and enjoyed being cut off from the rest of the world.

Buddy missed his 3rd prolotherapy treatment and is rescheduled for Tuesday. I'm still not seeing the progress I had hoped for, but maybe the 3rd treatment will be the "charm."

Although he wasn't able to play in the snow, he enjoyed eating snow pies!

Needs a little cream and sugar.

Zack and Sas had a ball...

Yep, we were essentially snowed in too. We did have entertainment, however, we got to watch the idiots sliding and spinning their wheels and backing up to take a run for it and get stuck again.

Sending positive thoughts for Buddy!

Being stranded on a mountain with hubby, 3 dogs, cracklin fire and soup....sounds perfect to me :)

Hope Buddy's 3rd treatment does the trick.

Oh dear, it does look very cold!! I'm so sorry that you were all stuck at home, however, it was also a good time that the family was together. I wish Buddy all the best and hope his third treatment is a success one.

Ahhh, I suppose in the south you aren't used to the snow and ice we get here in Saskatchewan! Sometime this week, I'll get photos of the dogs in the yard so you can see how much we have! But, I like it when we get so much that we are allowed a snow day or two too... there's nothing like hunkering down at home with a pot of soup, some warm dogs and just hanging out!! Stay warm and here's hoping Buddy's treatment goes well!

I love snowy days!...we either go running and playing for an hour or so and come back for soup, hot choclata and laughs OR hunker down on our fave sofa/chair and read/blog. Yes slippery roads are a curse but we are used to them and get snow tires for the winter months. Since I live on the Tropic of Cancer 1/2 way between the North Pole and equator we get the 4 seasons and I'm so grateful for that. There is a reason for snow and I loves it! Cheers! PS Buddy, Sas and Zack understand me..don't cha!

Same here, we got stuck "inside" for 3-4 days.

That's why I hate snow. Everything is pretty for an hour, then it's all ice from there. Hate being snowbound, hate all the whiteness, hate the cold. Tahiti sounds wonderful right now! LOL So far in Oklahoma, we've had a light winter and I hope it stays that way. Have a good week! Thinking about Buddy...hope he gets better!

I loved the snowy pictures and video! Nothing more fun than watching pups play in snow, they're just like kids!

Your home looks like a Currier & Ives Christmas Card!

Thanks for sharing for those of us who haven't seen it snow in a long time!

Dear Ms. K...this is a request for a reservation for Mom and Madi to stay at your most lovely Ga. Mtn. resort on the very next snow day.
The fun, the food, the friends and the warmth are exactly what we need.

Our snow is melting away to nothing:( We are hoping for some more this week, but we will have to wait and see. We really want to have fun like you two do.

Paws crossed for some obvious improvement for Buddy - he is such a sweet boy.

Mom is in love with your home, especially that porch. It is just so pretty.

Heehee...I luved that last picture!

It looks like you all had a lotta fun in the snow. I suuuuure wish we'd get a big snow here so momma could get stuck inside with us and not have to go to work. Now, you'd think that living in Collie-rado, that might actually happen. But nope.
