GBBC

We're participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count this weekend.

Sas and I are helping Rama identify and count the birdies.

There's a Black-capped Chickadee.

So cute and perky.

Oh, Look! I see 3 Goldfinches.

They love the thistle!

Wake me when you're finished, please.

My Mind's Eye said...: MOL Sassy and Zack you are the best little helpers a Mom could ever have. Mom says she wishes she was sitting right there with you all counting birds.

It is windy but nice here. Mom and Dad have been in the yard and I've been snoopervising from the perch.

I am so happy to have better weather
finally!!!! I know we will have some more cold but I am happy not to be freezing now and the animals are happy to be outside!!!

Anonymous said...: Our birds are slowly coming back....it's nesting time and I love that! Robins, mockingbirds, cardinals, and oh yes, a chicken. She survived below zero temps and I am amazed at her hardiness. Now, if she can just avoid being blown away by a tornado this spring. Thanks for your sweet thoughts while The Hub was in the hospital. He is on the mend, and everyday I see his personality come back to life.

Moose said...: Chickadees!!! I miss them from when I lived up north! You pups are great at bird counting. Foster Phoebe counts birds by woofeling like crazy so we would never get past 1 in our back yard!; March 8, 2011 at 12:57 AM
