Update on Madi and Mom

To all followers of Madi and Mom,
As you know Madi and Mom live in Raleigh, which was hit very hard by tornadoes this weekend.
Cecilia (Mom) is having computer problems and is unable to make a blog post or use email.

I had a voice mail from Cecilia, after the storms had passed, and she asked me to pass on the word that THEY ARE SAFE!
They all huddled in the bathroom with Queen Diva Madi for the duration of
the storm.
She sounded a bit shaken, and she was not fully aware of the devastation throughout the area.

I just wanted to let you know that they are fine and hopefully all 'puter issues will be resolved soon and Madi and Mom will be back with us!

Updated: Mon. 2:50 PM
They're Back!!!

In the meantime, Madi hopes you enjoy this video:

Hi there Kit,
I've not been around for a while and spent sometime catching up on your blog.
Firstly, thanks for the note about Madi and her mom...how terrifying it must have been for them.
Also, you might be interested in our own 'Black Eagle' project here in our botanical gardens:

(I put up a blogpost last week about them) Unfortunately I couldn't load your webcam, but I nevertheless understand how beautiful these creatures are.
Take care and a belated 'Happy Birthday' to Sassy.
