ありがとうございます。
(Thank you, in Japanese)
Last week, we received a package in the mail from the other side of the world, really.
(Fusako and Me, 1990)
It was from one of my favorite, former second graders, Fusako,
(Fusako, holding Koala)
who lives in Japan.
The package contained
a beautiful hanging flower vase,
a really cool bandana from a Japanese Earthquake Animal Relief Org,
and a couple DVDs Fusako had converted from old videos, made while she was in my class, twenty years ago.
What a hoot those were to watch!
Thank you, Fusako,
for the wonderful gifts and,
especially, the
fun memories.

Is anyone else having trouble leaving comments on blogs lately, or is it just me?

Awww thats awesome and I really love the bandanna!
Yes we are having problems commenting on some blogger accounts - its supposly a blogger hting and internet explorer - if you use google chrome of firefox you will not have any issues.
What a great package!
My ability to comment comes and goes on different blogs. The next day things usually set them selves back to being OK.
if folks have their comment setting set to 'embed below post' i very often cannot comment. they need to switch to 'pop-up window' like you have. :)
Yes I agree with Hound Girl I am on Firefox now and it is BETTER!!
What fun you are having watching yourself 20 years ago!!! That is so sweet of them to send you these.

Commenting from my office computer, hope the comment will post. Yes! I am having terrible time trying to post comments. I am at wit's end. Sometimes the comment will post, sometimes not.
I put an announcement on my blog page about my comment problem. Don't know what to do!!

How cool is that. We love Japan too. Mum's nephew has lived there for the last 10 years. Its so lovely you have kept in touch. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
I never, ever use IE. Using Firefox and no problems whatsoever.
That was such a thoughtful thing of your former student to do. Very nice bandanna too.
We see that you have gotten a lot of comments about the issues with leaving comments - seems like IE has become an issue for Blogger. Hope you can figure it out. We use Firefox and don't usually have any trouble.

A package from Japan how cool is that and the banadana is really neat. Thanks for stopping by our blog today and we were BOL at your comment. As we had just heard that similiar prase on a TV show. That some feets smell like Fritos. This time ours were clean because we just had baths. Have a great day. And yes we have heard lots of people having trouble leaving comments but we don't know why. It is close to Halloween so maybe the Blogger Ghosts have come out a little early. Sniffs, The HoundDogs

Thanks for stopping by to visit my place.
We have abeen having trouble too but took the advice of Hound Girl and some others and use Google Chrome now for alot of the blogs.
What was weird is that we have been looking for your blog for a month or so and finally found it in our spam file.
Don't know why they think they can make decisions like that for us.
Anyway. glad to be back with you.
Bert
What a wonderful pressie package.
We were having some commenting problems and noticed one day that no one could comment on our blog either, but the next day it was all good :)
