Happy 10th Gotcha' Day to Zack!
Zack's Petfinder page listed him as URGENT, meaning he had less than 24 hours before euthanasia.
Hubby and I took off work early and drove 3 hours, barely making it to the shelter before they closed.
This is the first picture I took of Zack, the day after we brought him home.
I'm sure he was wondering,
"What have I gotten himself into?"
Ten years later, he's a happy, handsome, antler-free boy!
As if that were not enough reason to celebrate...
seventeen years ago today,
Hubby and I eloped to St. George Island, FL.
Of course, the kids went along on the honeymoon.

Anyway where to start...Mom got tears in her eyes thinking about Zack's potential demise 10 years ago. Who in their right mind could do that??!! God Bless you and DogDad for racing to his rescue.

What a sweet post! Happy Anniversary Kit! and what a sweet Gotcha story about Zack, I did not know he was so close to being euthanized! What a lucky boy!!!! So many wonderful animals available in shelters I wish more people would adopt!
Happy early Thanksgiving too. I am not talking about it on my blog but on 11/28 I will be headed to NJ to help surprise my mom for her 80th birthday. The surprise party will be 12/4 and plans are well under way. But don't mention it over on my blog or she will get wind of it! I will be in NJ till 12/10 and only blogging occasionally if at all till I get back to AK. xoxo

Wow,sounds like you guys have 3 gotcha days between Zack and your mom and dad ech having gotcha day too :-) I am sure glad they made it to the shelter in time.
