Our Buddy, Wayne Hall, is still hanging tough in the Yukon Quest , currently in 17th place!!!! The next checkpoint will be Eagle (the most remote Yukon Quest checkpoint), which is Wayne's home. I hope the dogs don't get a familiar whiff and head for their cabin!
Wayne's wife, Scarlett, is the Eagle Checkpoint Manager again this year. I wonder what effect (if any) that has on their dogs.

Last year in Galena, Jon Korta had the same concern because his wife was the Checkpoint Manager. They decided that she and their children would not speak or interact with the dogs. It worked. The dogs were just fine leaving the checkpoint.

I didn't know Sassy was familiar with Abe! She knows how to pick 'em! And it was so good to hear from Zack. I bet they will be happy to see/hear video of all the other dogs. Keep us posted on Wayne and his dogs! SH
