Report from New Mexico

I spoke to Hubby this weekend.
He was excited to report they found the most incredible, remote campsite in the Gila National Forest. There's only one problem, it's rainy and cloudy, so no star-gazing!

Since it's been raining, he and the dogs are stuck in the RV together. The dogs sleep all day and Hubby has rearranged every drawer, closet and cabinet in the RV out of shear boredom. He isn't a happy camper and said something about heading home soon if the weather doesn't improve...

Oh no! I have girlfriends coming to visit. Wish for clear skies in New Mexico!

The first week "home alone" has gone by quickly, due in part to all the excitement we've had around here. After the black snake visit and onslaught of squirrels, my air conditioner died. I was without AC for 3 long, hot and humid days and nights. The AC was repaired Friday and Saturday morning on our walk, Buddy and I noticed a tree had fallen across the driveway.

I don't consider myself a wimp at all, but I cannot start a chain saw. That's probably a good thing, because I don't need to be operating a chain saw up here in the woods by myself.
Our wonderful neighbors came over and had the tree removed by the end of the day. Thanks Guys!

I'm hoping this week will be less exciting and for clear skies in NM.

Hi Buddy and K! Too bad about the star-gazing, but at least everyone's fine. Congrats on the AC repair, and what nice neighbors to clear the tree for you. Hopefully this week will be a little less eventful.

See ya!

Again...with no AC thank heaven you are in the mountains and not in Savannah! Heat index has been over 100...then when it rains, the ground steams. You remember! Poor D and pups! Seems like you and Buddy are having more fun, or at least excitement! SH

Boy! Hoping for sunny skies in NM, so hubby won't have to resort to cleaning chores - rain is a bummer for camping! Glad you got A/c fixed and also got the tree out of the driveway! So much to report! And you deserve the award!

I hope the weather clears up for your hubby in NM. Good thing you have such great neighbors to cut out that tree for you, but with enough time I am sure Buddy would have chewed through it for you. =)

Wow, you've had a busy time since your hubby left! Sorry he is stuck in the rain, but at least you'll have a clean, almost new RV when he gets back. :)

No air conditioning is awful when it's warm. Nice of the neighbours to help you out with the tree.

Thanks for the award!
