Pictures from New Mexico

Here are just a few of the many pictures Hubby took while in New Mexico. He took some great shots of the desert wildflowers and blooming cacti, which I will share later.

Remember, he's not looking for the most picturesque or scenic campsite. He's seeking a remote, dark location with plenty of open sky for star-gazing.
This is how Zack and Sassy spent most of the days,
just hanging around the campsite.

I think the dirt must have been cooler to Sassy. I don't think you can see it, but the dogs are tethered. They were tethered at all times, as there were coyotes and wolves close by.

Of course, everyone preferred sleeping inside.

The sofa was a favorite spot.

Sweet dreams, Sas.

I'm heading to the lake with my girlfriends for a couple of days.

I think Hubby will enjoy the time alone as I've been smothering him with attention since his return.

I hope my auto post works while I'm away. I'll catch up with all of you at the end of the week.

Happy Trails,

Zack and Sassy, you both look like you had a great time! I went through New Mexico when my human moved us from California to Kansas, but we stayed in a hotel. You two definitely got the better deal! Did you howl with the coyotes?

My human loves swimming in lakes, so tell your human mom to have lots of fun! I hope you both don't miss her too much while she is gone.

Hi Kit and Lab Pack,
Great pictures and very peaceful. I can see why David picked that spot.
Looks like Sassy and Zack got lots of rest.
Enjoy the time with your friends.

It does look like Zack and Sassy rested up! They probably didn't like that tethering business, but with wolves and coyotes you have to take precautions!!! I guess Buddy wanted to share his bear adventure. Enjoy your friends and the lake. We will be waiting to hear from you. SH

And I thought Raider was a couch potato! Those two look so at home in the RV!
I knew they had coyotes, but forgot about the Red Wolves! Beautiful beast but wouldn't want a dog tangling with one!
