This One's for the Birds

Sassy, admiring the beautiful card we received from Shelley.
I've only seen Redpolls in Alaska.

I recently won a giveaway hosted by one my favorite bloggers/photographers, Shelley, at Birding in Michigan. Shelley's photos of birds are amazing. It's as if the birds pose for her. I've learned about many different types of birds by reading Shelley's blog.

Shelley also has a great on-line nature store, featuring her beautiful photography. Be sure to check out her "Sack Michael Vick" products. Fifty percent of the profits of the Vick items will be donated to the ASPCA. Way to go, and thank you Shelley.

Happy Trails,

Hi there Ms-K
Thank you for always having such interesting posts. We love that picture of the bird. Your friend would have such a wonderful time with her camera here in SA...our Kruger National park - the size of Switzerland has more species of birds than the entire Australia! That little bird in the card is really beautiful.
Lots of licks

What a lovely picture of the red poll. I've never seen one in person.
I hope you and your crew are well today. Madi is in fine form this am.

Hi Ms. Kit...Madi here. I expect getting moles would require one to get one's feet dirty right? I don't like to get my feet dirty but I could sit at your window keeping up with where they are so that the pups could do the digging. Madi

She does some wonderful photography on her blog!
Is that photo with your new camaera?

We saw Redpolls in Alaska, too! The first time was at the top of the tram in Juneau!

WOW! WIll check out the birdie site. Mom's family takes lots of road trips to see birdies. I like to look at them too, my head bobs around to and fro, as they fly over.

Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,
Sierra Rose

One more black dog comment..interestingly enough my little poodle was not purchased because she was not all black. The guy thought she was parti-colored...apparently very bad in poodle circles. Turns out she is a phantom with silver markings in the same locations where a doberman is brown. His loss...my gain! Black, white, red, bald...she is the sweetest, smartest baby! SH

Sassy looks like a sales-model, showing off that card!

What a nice thing to be sent. A pretty bird, for sure.

Wow! What a gorgeous card. I can see why Sassy would be happy to sit and stare at it.

Awwwww....!! That was so sweet of you! Glad you and Sassy likes the card! And that Sassy is a good girl for not chewing it!
P.S. Was that you who bought that Vick shirt last week? If so, thank you! I can't wait to send donations to the ASPCA. I'm still so upset about that jerk being let back into the NFL!!
