Almost the End

You know how you hate to come to the end of a great book?

I feel the same way about my Nylabone.

It takes a lot of time and effort to gnaw on the bone to a comfortable, manageable size.

Then Rama decides it's time to discard the bones to avoid accidental swallowing.
She's not afraid to stick her hand down a pup's throat to retrieve a lodged Nylabone.

I will miss you, old friend.

ohmyword! i totally know how you feel!!! you spend all that time gettin' your bone just right, and then the hoomans swoop in and steal them. my mama just threw away my nylabone this afternoon cuz she said it was too stubby! and the worst part is that it's gonna take a week for the new ones to get here in the mail! this means asa and i only have 2 bones to choose from this week. boohoo. :(((

We feel your pain - our Mom does the same thing and it takes forever to get a new one broken in. Since our mouths are so large on the inside, our Mom always buys the largest one she can find!

I think I remember the header from one of the trips! Still a majestic picture! The nylabone has seen better days! Glad you are brave to retrieve when necessary! I guess it is like a good book...goes on in our memory, but can be replaced for awhile with another great one! Enjoy! Love these pics!

Good thing K. is there to keep you safe. There's always the anticipation of a new chew bone.

WHAT A GORGEOUS picture of Zack in your header. He matches the landscape perfectly talk about timing that picture was snapped at the exact perfect moment.

Ahhhhh what a nice ode to a fine bone. I love the last picture.

Thank you for you thoughts for Harley. We hope he is on the right road now.

Tootie prefers Sailor's toys to anything specifically made for pups! I think it's her scent, or maybe just a female's way of one-upping another female!

Awww, that is so sad, but you know what - the best part about a dying nylabone is that it usually gets replaced with a new tastier one. Hope that happens for you.

WEll that is too bad your hooooman stole your bone. Maybe you will get a new one soon but then you have all that work to get it back to being just right.
We are just visiting for the first time and we like your blog a lot. We will be back. We live in Anderson, SC just below the mountains of SC.
Hope you have a wonderful Fourth of July.

Oh I've had to do the hand down the throat more times than I can count, but it's been rawhide. That's why Jack is on a no rawhide diet!!

Wow! That is one chew job. Baby Bird (my poodle) has had the same teeny nylabone for a few years now. (She doesn't chew it. Teeth to small, apparently).

Should I call Dog Services and report your family? I can't believe they are going to take that wonderful bone away from you. Ok, I can because they do it to me too....with my bully sticks. Sad, isn't it?
Happy July 4th!
