Sad News

One of my dear friend's husband passed away from a massive heart attack early Saturday morning. He was 57.
D and her husband were in Memphis to attend a wedding. Her children flew to Memphis yesterday to bring their mother home.

Many friends have commented that they can't imagine what D and her family are going through right now. Unfortunately, I know their pain all too well. My father passed away from a heart attack in 1980, at age 52.

When I visited D today, she said, "You know how I feel right now, don't you?" I replied, "Yes I do". However, no one can completely understand another person's personal experience or loss.

Please keep D and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Please also pray for her friends who are now in the role of providing love, compassion, understanding, and support to our dear friend during this extremely difficult time.

Time goes by so fast, people go in and out of your life. You must never miss the opportunity to tell these people how much they mean to you.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When those we love go away, they never really leave us; they are with us now, wherever we are.
Those whom we have cherished, live on forever, for love wraps itself around the heart.
Although it's difficult now, someday beyond our tears and all the world's wrongs; beyond the clouds and all that we can see and touch, we shall all understand.
so sorry for your friends loss. Such hard times, and times when you need people the most to be strong for you when you are unable.
Oh I am so sorry - it is so true about not being able to know exactly what someone else's pain feels like, but we can infer from our own experiences. I am sending out prayers to D. and to friends who will, I'm sure, take loving care of her through this numbing and sad time.
Sending hugs,
Samantha, Miche and Bill
Sincere condolences for your friend. I'm sure you will be a comfort to her. She will need you when she goes back to an empty home in the days ahead. Why is it we all want to die quickly but when it happens to our loved ones we wish we would have had more time to say goodbye? Good lesson to make each day count and let no good words go unsaid.
It's news like that that really hits home when it's your husbands age...I always tell my husband he really needs to lose weight and try to stay healthy...he laughs it off....and so sorry to hear that you lost your Dad at such a young age. My Dad had a heart attack in his 50's also but was so lucky to live until he was 80...my heart goes out to your friend...
