Life is too short to wake up with regrets.

Sunday is for Family

Sassy, Hubby and Zack
~All Smiles~

Most of my family is on I-20 headed west for Texas, and ultimately New Mexico. As an only child, with no children of my own, parents deceased, my husband and dogs are MY FAMILY! Hubby and 2 of our Labs are starting a month long star-gazers paradise vacation, at least that's what Hubby calls it.
I would say by Zack's smile that he
was happy to be going this time.

Hubby wishes the dogs could help him with the driving.

I'll miss them terribly, but will be fine once they are off the roads and settled in their remote, dark campsite.

Buddy has been my shadow since they left, unsettled about being home alone with me. He's not sure who the "Alpha" should be ...
I do-ME!!!

Where did everybody go?

I wish for them, Starry Starry Nights...

Happy Trails,

Now I understand what you tried to say to me,
How you suffered for your sanity,
How you tried to set them free.
They would not listen, they did not know how.
Perhaps they'll listen now.

I'm sure woo will sort out this alpha thing!

I can't wait to hear more about the trip...and Buddy's boot camp! Will Zack and Sassy miss you, or are they too excited to be on an adventure? In regard to the snake, I know it is the course of nature, but....What would D do if he were there? Maybe the birds will fly away yet! SH

They will be safe...and they're going to see a million stars! Better than the ones in Hollywood, for sure. What a neat adventure!!! In the meantime, Buddy will protect you, or is it the other way around? LOL Enjoy your zen time.
