Looks like the RV is packed and they are ready to head for the dark New Mexico skies. There's been lots of hugging going on in our house the past 24 hours. It's funny how holding another warm body up against your own can offer comfort and reassurance.
I know they are going to have a wonderful time, I just worry while they are on the road. If you see a Coachmen RV towing a green Ford Pickup from Georgia, with 2 yellow Labs making nose prints on the windows, headed west this weekend, toot your horn and wave to Hubby, Zack and Sassy.
Zack seems to know that he is going on the RV trip this year. He runs to the RV and truck sniffing and wagging his tail. Buddy is oblivious to all the related activity. He's in for quite a shock when they all drive away and it's just the 2 of us remaining.
Sassy has been packing and making sure she has enough bandanas. Someone told her bandanas ward off snakes! (I think she just made that up because she thinks she looks good in bandanas).
When you pull into the visitor's welcome centers in New Mexico there are huge signing warning you of the poisonous snakes. What kind of welcome is that?
I'll keep you posted on their progress.

We've added 5 new blog followers in the past couple of days bringing us to a grand total of 64!
Followers are important to teachers, as we like to believe someone is interested in what we have to say or at least like the pictures.
Regardless, I was excited to see that 3 of my latest followers are fearless members of Tank's Operation Whack-A-Squirrel, A Doggie Life
(a North Ga. Girl too), TN Bull Terrors ( I love that name), and cutie patootie Checkers.
I was also thrilled to see 2 of my dear Arctic Camster buddies, Cecilia and Bette. Love the NCSU clock tower Cecilia! Bette, I am so glad that you decided to start blogging again. I look forward to seeing more pictures on HuckleberryHill from your beautiful part of the country with your new camera!
Welcome to all and I look forward to getting to know more about my new blog buddies!

Sassy, it's BANANAS! Bananas ward off snakes!
Actually, you just throw the peel down on the ground and they fall down when they come after you so you can get away!
:)
We wish the travelers safety and no snakes!!
XOXO

Hi Kit!!!
I was so glad to read today's blog to see everyone is packed and ready. Sassy is right she looks great in aqua...you need to get Kathy to make her a turquoise necklace. I'm glad to like the NCSU Bell tower....at least I have a signature of sorts. Be sure to check your email...Madi sent you a hairy hug to make you smile.
Cecilia
Sassy does look good in them! I wish them a safe trip. I don't know why but I worry everytime someone I know gets in a car. Maybe because I lived in Miami which has the worst drivers (ranked 3rd worst city...really!) Anywho, we understand your worries and we will look forward to updates on their safe and fun travels!
What will you and Buddy do with yourselves! Is it going to be diet boot camp for Buddy ;-)
Moose + Dana
Hugs..........
