Sunday is for Family

Mother and Me
Savannah, GA
~1974~

We were playing a silly game at a bridal shower given in my honor. I was married (the first time) 35 years ago, on August 24, 1974. I look at that picture and I see a young, naive girl who had no idea what she was doing or where life would take her. Whew, that was long ago and far away...

Remember that girl, SH?

Happy Trails,

This is such a nice idea - to have a 'family' day on your blog. We are enjoying seeing your old pics. Indeed we had a bit of nostalgia ourselves last monday...thanks to you.
mmmm...do we ever know where life will take us, or what life will throw at us?
We enjoyed your little post today.
Lots of licks

I do remember that girl! She may have been naive, but she was smart and beautiful! We outgrow naive, but smart stays with us! Look where life has taken you! It is a blessing that we rarely are ever on any given day what we will become tomorrow. How can this be 35 years ago? Sometimes it seems like yesterday. I guess that is why for Mamma, all the memories seem to be in similar time frames. R&B had their 34th anniversary yesterday.
Your mom looks great in this pic, too. Do you remember if you got those hose on? I am glad to be done with hose, myself! SH

Cute picture of you and your Mom! I love the white gloves, so much a part of that era!
Oh, weren't we all so young and naive back then!
Now we're in our "misguided oldth"! LOL

Oh, boy, that photo, although not of me, sure takes me back. If we knew then what we know now, I wonder how many of us would still be hiding under the bed☺

I just love looking at all the pictures you post of your family. Those were the days, weren't they? So much going on...women's lib, the Viet Nam War, mini and Twiggy, and of course Woodstock. What an era. You and your mom look great. With the blindfolds across your face, it's hard to tell who is who. Great pic!

This was really nice! Momma said doing a flashback sunday would be just way too awesome! I told her it would be a great idea! Mom went Sunday to see family members she hadn't seen it 15 years! Nostalgia!!!

I think a lot of us were naive way back......
If we had only known then, what we know now........but to live and learn......that's what is about...
