When we built our house 11 years ago, I did the practical thing and picked neutral paint colors, intending to repaint after having time to decide on my color scheme.
I am obviously easily pleased because eleven years later I have the same neutral, boring walls throughout the house.
"Boring!"
I was inspired by the bright colors in Ina's beautiful Anchorage home and convinced Hubby it was time to start coloring our world by painting the master bathroom.
Choosing the color was the easy part.
(Notice I bought a new flat screen TV.
Yeah, I like to watch TV while I soak in the tub.)

I think the green is soothing like a spa.
Hubby is doing most of the work and is doing an excellent job. I see many more painting projects in his future.

I'll add more photos when the bathroom is completed.

I have the same picture that you do over the TV!
Interesting that you would say that about colors. I'm in the midst of trying to decide what color to paint our white walls, and thought I'd stick with plain ole white...But after seeing the difference it made for your walls, maybe I won't!
BEAUTIFUL!!!! shade of green and you are right very relaxing!!!
Have fun...

Love it!!! Adds depth and life to the room, doesn't it? My master bath walls are waiting for my paint brush now...

A very soothing and spa like bathroom!
Such decadence, a flat screen while you soak! That sounds like a real spa!
How do you keep the labs from joining your "swim"?! LOL
Hummmmmm I can't wait to see what has put the project on hold.
It's GORGEOUS! Can I come over to swim? It looks fit for a Queen :)

What a great idea!
Nothing like beautiful colors! I love the blue!
Can't wait to see the rest!
I love the pictures. Looks like you went with the cooler green. Very pretty. An interruption beyond your control, huh? Enjoy! SH
WOW! Beautiful color choice AND a flat screen TV!! I would move into the bathroom! Hope your hubby lets you come back to ANC!! (smiling) Who knows what other "trouble" we could get into! Come back soon! xoxo
Beautiful color...it is amazing the difference it can make isn't it? :-)
Very nice!! I need to get motivated to do the same thing!
Love the colors!
That color is beautiful, what a difference it made!!! And my mom says that's her favorite Andrew Wyeth print! :-)

Just lovely Kit! Do you ever rent it out? lol
What a lovely color choice. Doesn't a change feel so good?
Oooh, that looks great! That kind of art-deco green is exactly the color I would've chosen, too. Very nice!
The green IS beautiful. When you get done, would you like to come to our house and show us your mad painting skills? :)
I love the new color. I liked the before photo a lot, but once I saw the after... huge difference. Love it! Isn't blogland grand? BOL
Twink!
Such a beautiful comforting color you have chosen. We have a TV in our big bathroom too:) The humans use it a lot, well, mostly Dad. We have lots of neutrals here too, but plans are developing for some changes.

TV while bathing? My kind of place...packing my bags now!!
We started painting our house all sorts of colors this past year ..we needed some "life" in here..although I was festive enough I think,,BOL! :)

Very nice, Kit... I love your 'new' bathroom.... I am still living with those old neutral colors here. ha ha

That is a beautiful color! Great choice. Our soothing green bathroom came out more Kermit than spa. ;)
Beautiful color! It looks great!
I'm a bit of a coward when it comes to painting! I'm glad our house came pre-painted in colors I like! The bathroom is beautiful.
