Color My World

When we built our house 11 years ago, I did the practical thing and picked  neutral paint colors, intending to repaint after having time to decide on my color scheme.

I am obviously easily pleased because eleven years later I  have the same neutral, boring walls throughout the house.

"Boring!"

I was inspired by the bright colors in Ina's beautiful Anchorage home and convinced Hubby it was time to start coloring our world by painting the master bathroom.

Choosing the color was the easy part.

(Notice I bought a new flat screen TV.
Yeah, I like to watch TV while I soak in the tub.)

I think the green is soothing like a spa.

Hubby is doing most of the work and is doing an excellent job. I see many more painting projects in his future.
I'll add more photos when the bathroom is completed.
This project is being temporarily interrupted by circumstances beyond my control, well kind of....
(to be cont.)

I have the same picture that you do over the TV!
Interesting that you would say that about colors. I'm in the midst of trying to decide what color to paint our white walls, and thought I'd stick with plain ole white...But after seeing the difference it made for your walls, maybe I won't!

A very soothing and spa like bathroom!
Such decadence, a flat screen while you soak! That sounds like a real spa!
How do you keep the labs from joining your "swim"?! LOL

Oooh, that looks great! That kind of art-deco green is exactly the color I would've chosen, too. Very nice!

The green IS beautiful. When you get done, would you like to come to our house and show us your mad painting skills? :)

Such a beautiful comforting color you have chosen. We have a TV in our big bathroom too:) The humans use it a lot, well, mostly Dad. We have lots of neutrals here too, but plans are developing for some changes.

I'm a bit of a coward when it comes to painting! I'm glad our house came pre-painted in colors I like! The bathroom is beautiful.
