The portrait is lovely. It captures our Max down the the last whisker.
When I began to blog never in my wildest dreams did I think that I could make such wonderful friends. It has been one of my blessings in disguise - a real treasure.
When times are rough - we hold hands. What more could anyone ask for when sad times, an emergency, or a job loss takes place?
We are a PACK in nearly a literal sense. When one of us is diminished, it diminishes us all - for a period until we gather our honor to lift up and sometimes defend one of us - this pack that has covered the world
Hi Kit, Blogger didn't load the picture!! As usual. It is being on dial up!! I went to my thyroid doctor today. I have hypo- lazy girl. I use to go to and general dr too, but money has been so tight the last 2 years that I only go to him now.Blood pressure just a little high, but at home it is usually a little low. Cholesterol was 214 but my hdl was high so he said no problem. I had lost 10 lds since last year, so all in all not bad. Kiss the kids, Bambi & Fern
Oh, how sweet of you to put my mom's painting for your WW post. ((hugs)) My mom said to Khyra's mom the other day, "wouldn't it be great if the whole world felt this good?"
I taught primary school for 27 years, and loved every minute of it. I am now enjoying retirement on 30+ acres in the north Georgia mountains with my husband and Labrador Retrievers.
When we aren't hanging out in the woods, we enjoy traveling in our RV w/ the dogs. One of our favorite destinations is the Pacific Northwest, especially the Oregon and Washington coasts.
My parents are deceased, I am an only child and have no children; therefore, my husband and dogs are my family.
My blog and blogging friends have taken the place of my classroom and students.
You could say, I've gone from SCHOOL DAYS to DOG DAZE.

Wow - so beautiful! Love how sweet and expressive Maxdog's face looks in this painting!
I am still in awe of how this all came together via the facilitation of Khyra's Mom, Kat, the Card Artists and all who participated.
The world would indeed be a much fairer place if the Dog Blogger Community ran it!! xoxo
