Happy Mail

Don't you love to get happy mail?
Not email; but real, old-fashioned, USPS, snail mail!

Not junk mail or bills; but brightly colored envelopes, cards and packages that make you smile.

Over the past several weeks, my mail-lady has delivered a good bit of happy mail to my box.

I've received get well cards, birthday cards, postcards, and packages
from far-away places such as Alaska (thanks, Ina and Pups), Ireland (thanks, Susan), and South Africa (thanks, MaxMom).

Pretty cool, huh?

There were funny cards, sweet cards, handpainted cards,
comforting cards,
(Thanks, B and Ferne), cards with flowers, and cards with dogs.

There were personalized cards...
(thanks, Madi and Mom)

Handmade cards and gifts...
(thanks, Kath for the beautiful hand-beaded necklace)

Even a graduation card from a former student...
(I always love receiving these)

This was my favorite funny card, from my former college roommate, who just returned from touring Ireland.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to send me a smile!
It is greatly appreciated!

It doesn't cost much or take much time to spread some happiness!

Thanks for sharing views of the many cards and gifts. Too bad we all don't live closer, can you imagine the huge group walk we would have with our pups???.....So glad you are on the mend!! We love you!! xoxox

Yesh, our momma is a fan of good, old fashioned, REAL mail not just the junk mail we get now. It's so much fun to open something from someone that cares about us. You have been blessed.

You are getting real prizes and treasures there. Snail mail is almost extinct, isn't it? Practically the total domain of bills due and advertisement. You mean people actually chose to send you real mail? Mail with postage just because they like you? You are blessed. I also think you should hang onto that mail, it will be valuable sometime in the near future, probably worth space in a museum!

Seriously, this is truly "Happy Mail" !

What an absolutely wonderful and beautifully photographed post!! What a variety from so many locations! I was thrilled to see my card and Mamma's card in the birthday pics! There is something about a handwritten, snail-mailed missive that warms the heart like email never can! Thanks for the reminder! SH

Ha! I have my very own PO box so that momma won't interfere with my private Mango mail. I am always so happy to see it stuffed with packages and envelopes just for ME.

I always feel good and am happy whenever I receive a snail mail. It sounds old fashion but I like to see the envelope with stamps on :)

You're so lucky that you received so many mails!

I'm so glad that people lifted your spirits and that you're feeling better!

It is so nice to get USPS mail. Seems like everyone just emails (and that is not bad)....but sometimes it is just nice to have something to hold....

Wow!! You are really blessed to get so much great mail like that!! I love real mail but it doesn't seem to come here much anymore. My mailbox is stuffed with junk mail (where do they get my name and address) and bills of course. I have often thought of taking the mailbox down!! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly

Initially, my answer to your question was going to be "no" but as I read more, you made a good case for snail mail. A very belated Happy Birthday from me and my family and... what can I say, mommy is crazy over your daddy and me photo.

Nicknames for my husband. Lots of different nicknames. Where I got them I have no clue.
Neat cards. I like that last one too.
The necklace is really neat.
You's so loved Ms. Kit.
