Yes, we will miss our mothers all the days of our lives. I many have grown up a little since mine passed away but there are times - there are times when I just sob wishing I could feel her arms around me just one more time.
Kit that was such a beautiful tribute, I LOVED all the pictures and the Glenn Miller Orchestra music which played in the background. Your mom was a beauty and you look just like her. I can see where you get your love of dogs!
Time seems to pass by quickly when our loved ones pass on. My dear Aunt Bette died in 2006 and I still think about her most days I miss her so much. xoxoxo
What a beautiful tribute for a very stunning looking lady, I have to admit to getting teary at the end but thank you so very much for sharing that with us. She looked a beautiful, warm hearted lady who loved you very much judging by the way she looked at you in the photos.
What a beautiful and touching tribute! I loved the pictures and getting a glimpse into your memories! I have also lost both of my parents, with my Mom passing just about 3 years ago. So I know all too well the heartache of that loss and and how you miss them more than you've ever missed anyone.
What a lovely and loving tribute to your mother! I will watch it more than once for the memories it brings! How fortunate you are to have all those pictures...and to have had the time with her. You look so much like her. I do agree with you about growing up. I am struggling with that. Thank you for sharing today. Bless you.
Oh my word Ms K that was the most beautiful slide show I've ever seen. What a tribute to your beautiful Mother. I'm a little misty eyed. The music was PERFECT.
I see you inherited you love of puppies from your Mother.
I'm 100% sure she is smiling down on you today. GREAT BIG HUG HiC
Kit, that is such a beautiful tribute to your wonderful and gorgeous mother. I sure know how much you miss her. Those are such good photos. Thanks for sharing her with us today. Lots of love, Debbie and Holly
Oh, Kit, I was crying from the very first photo. This is such a great video. I love all these photos and what a collection of memories of your mother's life. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Oh Kit! What a truly beautiful tribute to a beautiful lady! You must be so proud of your mum...and I am sure she felt the same for you! I loved the animals constantly around her and the obvious love she displayed in the photos for those around her. Sending lotsaluv to you on this special day. MAXMOM IN SOUTH AFRICA
I liked the video. Beth said to tell you thank you for the priviledge of letting her meet your mother. And she agrees that sometimes we don't truly grow up until they are gone. Beth lost her mother 16 years ago and she misses her SO much....
That was a very endearing, vey romantic story...thank you for sharing your memories with us. your mother must have been a very special person.. love, A
So sorry, I understand completely. It is a life changing experience. For me I have become more like her ever since that day. And that is a beautiful header photo even though it does not have any dogs in it ;-)
Kit, this is truly a beautiful memory album. You are so fortunate to have a lot of photos of your mother from an early age. I really enjoyed the video. We seem to have much in common: both May babies of the same age, both retired first grade teachers, and now, both our mothers died of lung cancer. (My mother never smoked. How?)
oh, miss kit, your mama sure was a wonderific lady! thank you for sharing about her! she sure seemed like a cheerful 'n kind person who always gave you the warm fuzzies when she was around. :) *woof* the booker man
I taught primary school for 27 years, and loved every minute of it. I am now enjoying retirement on 30+ acres in the north Georgia mountains with my husband and Labrador Retrievers.
When we aren't hanging out in the woods, we enjoy traveling in our RV w/ the dogs. One of our favorite destinations is the Pacific Northwest, especially the Oregon and Washington coasts.
My parents are deceased, I am an only child and have no children; therefore, my husband and dogs are my family.
My blog and blogging friends have taken the place of my classroom and students.
You could say, I've gone from SCHOOL DAYS to DOG DAZE.
