Sassy Says

The way I see it, if you want the rainbow,
you gotta put up with the rain.

~Dolly Parton

~~~~~~~~~~~
This week's musical blast from the past is by one of my favorite artists from the 60's and 70's, B.J. Thomas.
"Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" is a song written by Hal David and Burt Bacharach for the 1969 film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, winning an Academy Award for Best Original Song. David and Bacharach also won Best Original Score. The version by B. J. Thomas was number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States in January 1970 for four weeks and the first number-one single of the 1970s. It also spent seven weeks atop the U.S. adult contemporary chart. (wikipedia)
Remember this great scene with Paul Newman and Katharine Ross?
Wow, how many times did I see this at the drive-in?
Pretty song and the movie was easy on the eye, what with Paul Newman and Robert Redford in the leads. And I love the big picture of all three dogs!
I tried on Thursday to not complain about all the rain we had, and how many times I had to dry off the dogs--They say that wet dogs smell, but I have my doubts! :-))
