Sunday is for Family

Grandpa and Me
Savannah, GA
~1960

My grandfather and I had a special relationship.
When USMC sent Daddy to Korea in 1960,  Mother and I lived with my grandparents for 13 months. I was the only grandchild at that time and Grandpa spoiled me rotten
I loved every minute of it!

Isn't that what grandparents are for? Momma says her parents used to dump her with the grands for a few weeks every summer. She always worried that mom and dad would miss her (now she knows they were on their own little holiday). She says it was always wonderful to spend time with the old folks and be spoiled and treasures the memories.

Great pic. When our human brothers and sisters were younger, Mom's mom lived with them for over 18 years. It was a great experience for all - the kids still talk about all the wonderful memories they have of their time with Grandma.

Love the header picture!! The picture of you when you were a little girl is so special! Grandparents are so special. Mom and me lived with my grandparents until I was 18 years old becaues my dad passed away when I was only 6 months old. Talk about being spoiled. If I didn't get what I wanted from mom, I went to nana or papa! Lots of love, Debbie and mom

Oh how I loved my Grandpa!!! He was my special parent!! He taught me from tieing my shoes to driving the family car. He taught me a lot of neat things!!!!! I lost him when I was 19 years old and I still miss him!!
Tom has the best looking scare that I have ever seen! He is doing great! I did not do so great. A few days after he left I fell and was hurting most of the time he was gone.
Does David know that you are telling the world that he is going??
