Did you realize that just like state birds, flowers, and trees, there are also designated state butterflies? The state butterfly of Georgia is the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail. Georgia shares its state butterfly with Virgina, Alabama, South Carolina, and Delaware.
I found a cool site with information about butterflies and moths seen in White County.

Enjoy these beautiful creatures during these warm early fall days. They, like the hummers, will be gone soon.
