I'm Juz Sayin' ~Change

There is nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction.
~Winston Churchill

I ordered a new bowl for Buddy, in an attempt to prevent him from inhaling his dog food and developing bloat. He isn't very happy about this change, but look at the difference in the time it takes him to eat his food.
I'm not sure if he's eating slower or just eating longer.

Ah, I've seen several versions of the slow-eating bowl. Bloat is a terrible thing!!

What a brilliant invention! I love the tail wagging noise in the background!

Poor Buddy! Change may be good for us, but it's tough! An ingenious design! What will they think of next? I need to slow down, too. But I like my old plate!!! SH

Looks like it works like a charm! I have the same problem..I just add a bit of water, and that seems to slow them down....I've also heard to use a muffin tin!
Buddy doesn't seem to mind !

Did I say five cups / day? I meant five cups / meal, don't want to starve to death.

Buddy,
Stupid PeeWee eats out of the exact same kind of bowl. I get five cups of kibble and he only gets two but with that bowl he takes as long as me to eat. Sure, he doesn't like it, but at least he has to actually chew at least a little bit.

Well, that sure was different! I guess Buddy doesn't mind how he get his food, as long as he gets it!

Oh Buddy,

Mom says I eats the same way as you do. Please ask your mom to let my mom know how the new bowl helps your eating habits.

Buddy it is a good thing you have that lovely long pink tongue to help you navigate around the new bowl. It took you about 1 min. longer with the new bowl...good job.

Good thing you have that long tongue, Buddy! OMG, you must have thought: What has Rama done to my kibble bowl? There's an obstacle course in there!

You're such a happy guy, that tail is wagging away the whole time through both videos!

Maybe I need to get one for Raider!
He inhales his food, too!

He got off his couch to investigate who was munching away on my 'puter!

Cool bowl!! That's what one of my cats need. She inhaled the food and then gets sick because of eating it too fast. Where did you get that? Lots of love, Debbie and Holly

Now, if they could make one for humans that would work on the same principal. Or I could eat with chopsticks............I haven't mastered them yet.

Woof! Woof! My mom been thinking to change my bowl n have a stand. She tried it n seems not working. So fr the meantime, back to my old school food bowl n no stand. You know it might help is to moisten the doggy food with some warm water (just a bit). Try it. It works for me ... Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

Well, K, the first bowl took Buddy just over one minute to eat his food. (That IS fast!) His tail wagged the whole time and I could have sworn I heard him burp twice. The new bowl added another minute...he's still going at it pretty fast. I'm not sure it's possible to slow him down much more, but one thing about it, the new bowl ought to appeal to his love of a challenge and it gives his tongue a real workout. Just stand back, the food flings!

We also have heard of those kind of bowls, looks like so far, so good.

Dory and Jacob eat fats...but not even close to as fast as Buddy.

Bilbo, sigh, takes him at LEAST 3 hours to finish his 1/2 cup of kibble.

That is just pure EVIL! TORTURE!

But hey, mom knows best!

I recommended this bowl to a friend and it has really helped this dog and she's not so worried about bloat.

We've seen those kinds of bowls. It does seem like he's eating slower. If anything his nose looks really really cute scrunched up like that... LOL! Let us know how it works. We may end up getting one for Gunther.

Ciara inhales her food so Mom got a big ball to put in the middle of the bowl. It seems to slow her down but Mom doesn't think she chews her kibble at all. We may see one of those bowls here too.
