Monday's Memory ~Mother

Tomorrow, June 29, marks the 9 year anniversary of Mother's death.

I believe a woman does not truly grow up until she loses her mother, her primary role model for womanhood.

Please join me as I remember the life of a very special lady, my mother.

Yes, we will miss our mothers all the days of our lives. I many have grown up a little since mine passed away but there are times - there are times when I just sob wishing I could feel her arms around me just one more time.

Kit that was such a beautiful tribute, I LOVED all the pictures and the Glenn Miller Orchestra music which played in the background. Your mom was a beauty and you look just like her. I can see where you get your love of dogs!

Time seems to pass by quickly when our loved ones pass on. My dear Aunt Bette died in 2006 and I still think about her most days I miss her so much. xoxoxo

What a beautiful tribute for a very stunning looking lady, I have to admit to getting teary at the end but thank you so very much for sharing that with us. She looked a beautiful, warm hearted lady who loved you very much judging by the way she looked at you in the photos.

What a beautiful and touching tribute! I loved the pictures and getting a glimpse into your memories! I have also lost both of my parents, with my Mom passing just about 3 years ago. So I know all too well the heartache of that loss and and how you miss them more than you've ever missed anyone.

What a lovely and loving tribute to your mother! I will watch it more than once for the memories it brings! How fortunate you are to have all those pictures...and to have had the time with her. You look so much like her. I do agree with you about growing up. I am struggling with that. Thank you for sharing today. Bless you.

What wonderful memories. It doesn't matter how old we are, our parents will always be our parents whether they are with us or not.

I liked the video. Beth said to tell you thank you for the priviledge of letting her meet your mother. And she agrees that sometimes we don't truly grow up until they are gone. Beth lost her mother 16 years ago and she misses her SO much....

Kit, this is truly a beautiful memory album. You are so fortunate to have a lot of photos of your mother from an early age. I really enjoyed the video. We seem to have much in common: both May babies of the same age, both retired first grade teachers, and now, both our mothers died of lung cancer. (My mother never smoked. How?)

Thanks for sharing the memories of your mother.
