Woo, we have so many nicknames that we will just leave our favorite - Cheesewhiz for Cheoah. No meaning, no back story - just playing with the Cheoah name and Cheese became a natural - the Cheesewhiz just slipped out. We crack people up in public when we slip and call her that.

I've read that you should only call a dog by one name, but my dogs go by a myriad of names and they always seem to know which one I'm talking to.

Lilly goes by Lillybug, Dancing Bear, Sweet Cheeks, My Girl......

Piper goes by Pipsqueak, Pipedoodle, Pipey......

Carrleigh goes by Carr-Carr, Carr, Carrleighgirl, My Little Ballerina.......

Ruairi goes by Roar, Little Bit, Buddy Boy, The King (before long we'll be calling him Elvis - LOL!!

I always called Java "My Buddyroe" (I'm sure that's a local term - maybe my dad even made it up).

Whatever we call them, they know we love them and that's the most important thing of all.

Have a great weekend,
Lynn

I've always said that how much we love our dogs is reflected in how many nicknames they have! I have two young nephews who look at me quizzically when I call one of the dogs by an odd nickname and say "Why did you call him *that*?" I found myself trying to explain why we have nicknames - I'm not sure that they understood.

OK. Here goes! Cami is already a nickname for Amethyst Camille...her registered name. My first night with her I knew she could compete with a hurricane for howling! And she was born in February...hence, Amethyst. But she also answers to "The Baby," Li'l Pooper (for obvious reasons!), Cami-Bami, and Cam-Bam! I personally have been dubbed Giggy by my brother (thank goodness he outgrew it, but it stuck with family way too long!) and SuSu by the grands! SH
