Tomatoes, Squash, and Cleomes

We're spending the weekend watching the squash and tomatoes grow.

Almost as exciting as watching paint dry, huh?

And guess what?  I received more happy mail!
My good friend, V from North Dakota, sent me a package of cleome flower seeds. She knew I had been looking, unsucessfully, all over for them.
Thank you V, I'm plantng the seeds today!

What are cleomes? I see the pic on the packet, but don't think I have ever seen them "live"! Watching plants grow...and guarding them...are way more exciting than watching paint dry! What a beautiful area to watch in! SH

Oh man, you're garden...
You are truly Farmer Gump or would you prefer Farmer Ms. Kit?
Your garden is lovely.
I won't be seeing tomatoes on my plants for a month, maybe more.
I'm lucky to get a tomato before the frost. So whose the farmer now?
Wasn't that nice of V....lol

Ms K your garden is growing beautiful on your mountain. The tomatoes are gorgeous...I can nearly smell the lovely aroma of squash and onions cooking all the way in NC.
Our mutual friend V is one thoughtful lady!!!

Um. *yawn* Excuse me... Sorry. I just got distracted while watching your pictures try to grow... Mom says send any extra squash her direction - we don't have a garden, but she loves herself some fresh squash!

Wow! You have tomatoes on the vine already? My mom LOVES tomatoes and even those green ones have her mouth watering! I don't know why she doesn't plant some in our little patio.

I have never heard of them, but they look great on Google!

Yummers. Mom would love to have some tomatoes growing in our yard, but those pesky rabbits get them all the time. Enjoy.

Good job guarding! I had a friend with labbies who were guarding their tomatoes from varmints... They kept getting eaten and they could not figured out why until they found one of the labbies was munching on them! You look innocent Sassy, I know you will do great!
