Michael Vick Released from Prison

From ESPN:

HAMPTON, Va. -- Michael Vick is out of prison and headed home, penniless and reviled for running a vicious dogfighting ring, but hopeful for a second chance at his once-charmed life as a star NFL quarterback.

The suspended quarterback served 19 months in prison on the dogfighting conviction that capped one of the most astonishing falls in sports history -- one that stole his wealth and popularity.

Our opinion of him hasn't changed...

How about you?

Being from VA - Tech is just 30 miles down the road and Frank Beamer is from my county - I was a huge fan of Vick when he went to school there and stared following him when he went pro. But his actions have disgusted me. He had everything and threw it away by acting stupid and thinking he could get away with anything. Not only is dog fighting illegal, it is cruel. In my book, he'll have to do a lot to make up for that.

Have a great day.

Good one. Now I can only hope that no one wants him for their football team. He should be banned from it for life and have to get a "real" job to earn his money.

I am glad he served time! These "Sports Prima Donna's" should answer for such a cruel and unlawful activity! What a stupid thing to do to his career and life!

I think the guys fighting over his jersey says it all! Good one!

We think he should have stayed in prison! There is no excuse for what he did! I hope no football team is stupid enough to hire him!

He led a sick, depraved double life...football star and cruel dog killer. People who abuse animals go on to abuse people. He should serve community service in an animal shelter. Not that I have a strong opinion or anything...

I don't think there is much he can do to make up for this. If you are that cruel to an innocent animal, what does that say about your heart? I hope those 19 months gave him time to think and not just about himself.
