What's Cooking?

We received a cool Christmas pressie from our LabraPal, Jack.

Jack sent us a book!

The Three Dog Bakery Cookbook

Thanks Jack!

Oooh, let's have Woof Woof Waffles for breakfast.

Yum, look at those Hungry Mongrel Turkey Burgers!

I want some Chowdown Cheesy Casserole!

We've been salivating like Pavlov's dog just looking at the photos, until we remembered...

We can't cook!

And to make matters worse, after the Holidays there is a strict rule in our house:

(Just like a couple of guys to think I want to do more cooking right now!)
:)

So, we're hoping Jack and TG are planning a trip to Georgia real soon so they can help us whip up some of these recipes! Otherwise, we'll just be drooling over the photos!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Buddy received his 2nd prolotherapy treatment Wednesday afternoon.
The needle used is the size of a knitting needle (well, maybe not quite), and the injection is deep and long-lasting. The vet compared it to a cortisone shot.
He was such a brave, sweet boy, wagging his tail during the entire procedure. It's still too early to know if this will work, but I like the new vet and have confidence in her.
He's on pain meds again and clueless resting comfortably.
He said these Cheesy Apple Nips would make him feel much better!
Who could resist that face?
DogDaze is making some changes in 2011.
I've gotten myself into a blogging rut...stale, burned out, and bored!
Blogging has become too much like work, and that's NO FUN!
I've decided that I don't need to make daily posts.
Whew, that's a relief!
I'll still be checking in and keeping up with all our friends, just less frequently.
As we all know blogging is time-consuming and  it's time for me to spend less time sitting at this computer and more time living my life!
Thank you for understanding!
xoxo
Well I hope that doesn't count when you fix foods to send to your friends. I don't think that counts as cooking! :)
I hope that horribly big shot helps Buddy get back on his feet soon!
I understand about the slowing down on the blogging, sometimes you just have to slow down and/or take a break. When it feels like a job - it is, then it's not fun anymore. I believe I will have to slow down myself, as my condition gets worse. I seem to need more sleep and less computer. Please let us know how Buddy is from time to time, we do worry about him.
Take care!
Happy New Year!
Don't worry. I think many of us come to a certain point in life when Blogging becomes WORK not fun.
I hope you enjoy your rest - the dogs must be hungry for some homemade treats!
Wise idea!! You have to take care of YOU, and if that means no daily posts, then that's what you need to do. I for one will miss them, but it's alright!! :)
BTW, so happy you are going ahead with the prolotherapy; I am interested to hear the results as it's a new treatment in Saskatoon and VERY pricey because of that. If it does work, I would consider it as a possibility for treating Sophie's knee, than I have prior to this. So, hang in there, and here's hoping for a long lasting, very effective treatment for the problem!!! And, no surgery!!! :)
Morning Ms. K....oh my dogs...what a wonderful cookbook. Jack and TG are purrfect gift selectors!!!
Have you read "Amazing Gracie" by Dan Dye and Mark Beckloff the founders of 3 Dog Bakery? Gracie is a Dane with severe gastro problems...they founded the Bakery for Gracie. The book is FANTASTIC!!!
Buddy is such a brave puppy...I once a cortisone shot in my heel for plantar faciitis. The dr. tole me it would hurt...he kept looking at me saying do you feel that I said NO Never did. I don't know why...but I never had another shot for fear I would feel it the next time. LOL Hugs your 3 Pups.
Buddy does look rather RELAXED. I hope the shot works. YIKES.. big as a knitting needle??? Ouch.
Your blog is Never Boring to Me. I hope you don't stop. I would miss you.
Sad to hear you won't blog as often, but it is perfectly understandable! I will probably check daily just to see if that is a day you post!
The cook book is wonderful! Maybe you will have time to cook if you are not blogging! lol
I do hope Buddy improves. I am sure he wonders what is up. Wagging his tail during that ordeal! What a guy!
The book looks like something I need for Billy. He isn't eating a whole lot these days. So I need to try new things for him. Buddy, we sure hope you are feeling better soon! Ms K, we sure do understand about the blogging!!
Good for you! I'll continue to follow your blog and miss your daily posts but, I certainly understand your decision! If it feels to much like work, it's not always fun!
Super cool pressies for the Labs!
Sweet Buddy, I'm glad he has pain meds to rest comfortably!
Nobody could resist that sad face!
We hear you, blogging is a VOLUNTEER JOB! Fun to share experiences but when it eats into "enjoying life" time, something has to give!
Life is too short to sit at a computer for hours!
What a fun book! But at my house we would just have to sit around looking at the pictures cuz my mom doesn't cook either. She says that's why God made pet supply stores.
You're a good, good boy, Buddy! And Most Brave!
And we understand abouts not blogging every day. Just blog when you feel like it and it's lots more fun. And that just means we'll look forward to your posties even more than we already do now!
Hi Kit! What a nice gift to receive!! I was looking at that book not that long ago and noticed that it really does have some enjoyable goodies for our pups!
I also wanted to tell you that I understand and respect your needing to step away from blogging just a bit. I think we've all been there at one time or another, and I admire you for knowing and doing what's best for you! Whenever you're around, it'll be good to hear from you and see your posts too!
I continue to keep Buddy in my prayers and hope that the prolotherapy treatment is a success!!
All the very best for the New Year!!
I hope Buddy is doing better and that shot will help out.... Jack and the Tall Guy are the best! What a nice gift! Beth says she understands where you are coming from....I don't have a clue what you two are talking about....
Poor Buddy, we so hope the shot will help him. Maybe you could make an exception to the no cooking rule just for him just once:) Our Mom says she understands, she made way too many meals this past week for way too many hungry mouths, even if it was fun to have everyone here.
We totally understand about the blogging. We are behind right now because of the holidays, but a daily post is not in the schedule for the Momster either. We don't know how others find the creativity or the time to come up with all the posts they do. We all need to enjoy life.
If you're not going to use that cook book you could pick a recipe and put it on your blog like once a week. That way we that do cook and cook could have the benefit of your Christmas gift!! Sounds good to me!!!
Yes I do have a very happy, pretty,
and busy G-daughter! I am so happy to share her with all my blog friends!!
