Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right. Forgive, and then forget about the ones who don't.

Flight to Skwentna Checkpoint
I flew on a Cessna 182, (in the co-pilot seat), out to the Skwentna checkpoint today...all the dog teams were gone, but we saw several dropped dogs being transported by plane to Anchorage.
Beautiful pictures! I know you regret missing the teams, but you did see some pups! I thought you were going somewhere else. Hope you are enjoying your trip! SH
My favorite part of flying with the Bush pilots is having the pilot WEIGH YOU prior to flight. When our pilot from Talkeetna to the Base Camp at Denali weighed my sister and I, we immediately went on diets!
Your pictures are super! Next year it would be fun to participate with you!
Ron, the pups and I are looking forward to treating you to dinner on Wednesday! So sad to see you go home soon :(

Hi Kit!!! You are having a ball I can tell!! So happy for you!!!! You have done this at just the right time b/c in a couple of years it will be too late. Thanks so much for your visit!!!!!!! Have a good one, Fern
Why were the dogs dropped? I may have to talk to mom and dad about that....dropping dogs doesn't sound like a good thing to this little doxie! It is exciting to share this adventure with you and I hope you are truly enjoying yourself! Sorry I haven't been around much lately but I think I'm back! Snuggles, Twix
I taught primary school for 27 years, and loved every minute of it. I am now enjoying retirement on 30+ acres in the north Georgia mountains with my husband and Labrador Retrievers.
When we aren't hanging out in the woods, we enjoy traveling in our RV w/ the dogs. One of our favorite destinations is the Pacific Northwest, especially the Oregon and Washington coasts.
My parents are deceased, I am an only child and have no children; therefore, my husband and dogs are my family.
My blog and blogging friends have taken the place of my classroom and students.
You could say, I've gone from SCHOOL DAYS to DOG DAZE.
