My cousin's daughter-in-law manages the Liberty County, Georgia Animal Shelter. The shelter is one of the 10 finalists in the Zootoo Shelter Makeover Contest.

Who is your cousin's daughter-in-law? I know people who have gotten pets from there. Buddy and Zack are so blessed! SH
Thanks cuz. It is hard in small rural GA to keep a shelter running. The funding is just not there as in big cities with large businesses to donate funds. They get animals from County Animal control to find them homes; at times these could be someone's pet that is lost. ANimal Control only keeps them a week; the family could be on vacation and came back to find their pet is gone. It would be so heart breaking to find out you are one day late. The shelter does not allow this to happen.

Hey - I see the comment asking who the daugter-in-law is. That would be Sandra Frye. They really need a makeover. Every $ they spend on facility upkeep is preventing them from saving more animals.
